Spring in Russell, Ontario always brings something magical—and for me, that magic lives in the blooming tulip fields at Green Corners Farm just outside Ottawa. As a Wedding & Lifestyle/Family photographer in the Ottawa area, I look forward to this colourful season every year. The vibrant rows of tulips make the perfect backdrop for spring mini sessions, family portraits, and couples photos.

This year, I had the pleasure of photographing two lovely sessions before the weather took a turn. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had her own plans. The second week of blooms was met with rain and cooler temperatures that brought the tulip season to an early close. While I wish I could have photographed more families, couples, and little ones running between the rows, I’m grateful for the moments I did get to capture.

There’s something timeless about tulip field photography—the soft golden light, the variety of colours, and the natural joy that comes from spending time in such a peaceful setting. Green Corners Farm in Ottawa continues to be one of my favourite seasonal locations for family photos and mini sessions.

To the families who joined me this year—thank you for braving the unpredictable spring weather and trusting me to capture these moments. I know many others hoped to book sessions, and I’m just as disappointed that the season ended early. But don’t worry—I'll be back in the tulips in 2026 for more Ottawa tulip field photo sessions!
