If you're recently engaged and starting to plan your 2025 wedding—congratulations! 🎉 There’s nothing quite like this season of excitement, Pinterest boards, and dreaming big.
As a wedding photographer based in Russell, Ontario, serving Ottawa and beyond, I’ve been lucky to document so many love stories. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that a little planning now makes a big difference later.
Here’s what I want all my 2025 couples to know:
1. Book Your Key Vendors Early
Venues, photographers, and planners tend to book up 12–18 months in advance. If you have your heart set on a certain vibe, location, or look—reach out now. I've already started booking into fall 2025!
2. Think About the Lighting
When you book your ceremony time, consider the light. Golden hour (about an hour before sunset) is magic for portraits. Want those dreamy, glowy shots? I can help build a timeline that makes the most of it.
3. Don't Stress About “Awkward” Posing
If you're camera shy or your fiancé isn’t a fan of photos—don’t worry. My job is to make it feel natural. I guide you through gentle prompts that bring out real emotion and connection. Nothing forced.
4. Details Matter—And I Love Capturing Them
Your dress hanging up. Grandma’s bracelet. The moment your mum buttons up the gown. These quiet, beautiful details tell your story just as much as the big kiss at the altar.
5. Let’s Grab a Coffee First (My Treat ☕)
Whether we meet in person or virtually, I always start with a chat. I want to hear all about your day—how you met, what you’re dreaming of, and how I can help you make it unforgettable.
