Wow What A Beautiful Day
The love a couple holds is incredible and to be there as a wedding photographer to not only witness it but to capture those fleeting moments forever.
These moments of a wedding day can easily be forgotten with how fast a wedding day goes by. This is the part about my job I love the most, creating photographs that can be looked back on in years gone by. To bring you back to those short fleeting moments and relive the experiance.

In Preparation
Photographing a Full day wedding is a wonderful experience. As no one spends more time with you on your wedding day than the photographer. Getting to know your photographer is a must because of this, if your energies don't align it could really affect your wedding day.
With a full day with your wedding photographer booked, it is a great idea to have a couples engagement photoshoot along with a few meetings of coffee to talk all about your plans & the wedding day ahead.
That way when your Wedding day arrives you can be rest assured that your wedding will flow with ease.
Being with the Bride & Groom during this special time & witnessing their excitement build. Capturing those moments they can look back on that no one else outside of their wedding party gets to see. Is truly special from a wedding vendor standpoint.

The Surprise
If your considering having a first look if this is the best option for you is something deeply personal, however I often recommend it to my couples. Whether it's for the Father of the Groom or the Groom himself, it allows for a quiet moment between them that may not be able to be had later on in the day. With the right planning and the time given with full day coverage it often allows this special moment to happen.
With the ceremony fast approaching & all your guests arriving. Your spotlight as a Bride & Groom is quickly approaching. It's the moment you have been looking forward to all day, with all the getting ready seeming like it was so long ago but time went so quick you can be assured the excitement is now at a fever pitch. With wedding ceremonies often lasting as much as 30 minutes it will be over before you know it, the importance of having these precious few moments documented really now does become significant.

Heading To The Evening
After your wedding ceremony for most it's time to to have those formal photographs taken. As for a lot of wedding couples it's quite often the only time in the wedding couples life that everyone that is important to them is there in one place. There is no better time to have a professional wedding photographer there to get those important family & wedding party pictures.
If the wedding couple hasn't had their formal photographs taken before the ceremony after the first look. This is the time! After having your Family Formals & Wedding party pictures taken. Heading off to another location or staying close by to have those beautiful intimate photographs taken celebrating your connection with pictures suitable for an art gallery. If this sounds like a lot, you're not wrong.
By this point you could be an hour & a half (depending on wedding size) into having formal pictures taken, which if being with your guests is your priority at cocktail hour after the family formals. Then may be a first look is for you.
Being away for cocktail hour letting you have some time as a newly wedded couple also has it's benefits. Letting you enjoy some intimate picture worthy moments together. With a grand entrance to your reception is also pretty fantastic, as everyone is waiting to congratulate you & celebrate your special day.
But having your day as you imagined is the most important part. Don't let others choose how you would like to have your wedding day. It's your day, your love story.
